Pegs

Simon has discovered pegs. He thinks they're great. He can even take pegs off the clothes horse if it's left too close to his high chair. This morning he found a whole bucket full of pegs.

Grumpy

Simon often gets grumpy in the late afternoon. This is the time when he's getting tired and getting a bit hungry. So to distract Simon we often go for walks. Here we'd just come back from the library where we'd borrowed some new books for him to read.

Where is it all going? Aka What Simon ate today

Breakfast:
1 weet bix
Some of Daddy's banana bread
Milk

Morning Tea:
Half a pear (he probably would have had the whole thing except Mum thought it was too close to lunch)
Water

Lunch:
Some Pumpkin, zucchini and rice cereal
Some pasta spirals from Sophie
Milk

Afternoon Tea:
A banana
1 Milk arrowroot
Water

Dinner:
Some rice cereal with pears
Milk

For such a little person I think that's a lot of food.

King St Thai

Simon had King St Thai for the first time tonight. He had half a prawn cracker while Mum and Dad were eating. I'm not sure how much ended up in him and how much was on him.

When I grow up I wanna be just like my Dad

The beanie will actually fit him then.

I didn't listen to my own warning

I made the mistake of putting my finger in Simon's mouth. He left teeth marks on it.

Cooking

Simon helped Mum cook.

By licking the spoon.

One Hand!

Simon still really likes standing. It's a quick way to make him smile and laugh. He's been practising standing using objects to balance and this week has mastered doing it with one hand.

Hanging with Dad

Simon watched the AFL with dad today. He's turning into a bit of a sport junkie. First it was the cricket, then NRL and now AFL.

Finger Foods

Simon can now eat bits of banana and milk arrowroot biscuits.

He likes the bikkies the best.
