Recently Simon went on holidays to Nelson Bay for a few days.
He got to try pancakes for the first time.
They were a winner.
He also had a new kitchen and unit to explore.
He discovered VCRs (mainly that he can fit his whole hand and some of his arm in the slot) and he also discovered he didn't like the bedroom he stayed in.

Fathers' Day
Simon gave Dad his first Fathers' Day present - a box of Duplo! Sweet!
The theory is that we will aim for Fathers' Day gifts that we can enjoy together - and Lego (and Lego-related products) have a very special place in Daddy's heart.
We are already enjoying playing together - Simon is working on the crucial skill of pulling blocks apart and throwing them on the floor.

Bubbles
Simon got some bubbles in his party bag at Zadie's party.
He thinks bubbles are pretty cool, but he's not quite fast enough to catch them.

Simon's Big Day
Simon had a very big day today.
First he went to a cafe with Mum and Dad for breakfast and was so tuckered out that he fell asleep on the walk home.
Then Simon got to go to two parties. One was an engagement party and the other was Zari's 1st birthday. Simon was very excited.
But after all the excitement of both parties, Simon was, once again, tuckered out.

Devouring the Word of God
We read the bible to Simon each night before he goes to bed. I'm not sure how much he takes in of the content, but he must be taking something in as the Bible is his favourite book on the bookshelf.
At first his Bible was on the bottom shelf of the book shelf, but it got pulled out a lot and chewed on, so it got moved higher. But he still pulls it down and 'reads'* it, more than any other book he has.
As a result his Bible is looking a bit battered, the spine is broken and there is a torn page (this is the only torn page in any of his books - he mainly has paper books), but I've decided this is a fantastic problem and I hope that the Bible continues to be his favourite book. We'd be stoked if you could pray for this.
*Simon thinks reading is flipping through the pages in any random order and often lots of pages at once.

How many weet-bix do you eat?
Simon now eats between 3 and 4 weetbix every morning. Sometimes he manages to polish off all the weetbix and still fit some toast or fruit in.
