Simon has (possibly) started responding to sounds and mimicking them.
Although David Hume would say that just because Pamela made a noise then Simon made a noise afterwards doesn't mean that the first caused the second (and I would tend to agree), it's still pretty cool.

Sounds like he's doing some great 'coo-ing'! It's possible that he's responding by copying your sounds. Responding to his sounds and encouraging him to respond to yours is a great step towards communication, even at Simon's young age - keep up the great parenting! "turn-taking" is really important for language development.
